Sustainable Funding

What is sustainable funding?

Sustainable funding isn't about locating one ever-lasting source of income, it is an approach. This approach begins with strategic planning and takes account of opportunities for diversification across various income streams available to you.

Sustainable funding is about building meaningful relationships with funders and stakeholders – and understanding their needs. Sustainable funding also involves thinking about the most appropriate way to fund your organisation – not just chasing money. Your funding needs to be stable, suitable and sufficient for your organisation and your users – not all organisations are the same. It's about using the appropriate income stream to drive development at the appropriate time. Discover what income streams are available and how it could benefit your organisation or community group.
